Hi Folks,
Hadnt been on here for ages as had forgotten my password etc - i swear that is down to the rheumy rather than my age!

Glad to be back, i think last time i was here i was having discussions about foot surgery and had had two toes straightened - sadly i am now down to nine toes!! (the up side is i can now get fab shoes to fit!)

Will keep posting/.

Have to say, having the toe off was a relief (and it was only my little one). Only needed day surgery and was off work for 3 weeks. Worse part was the Morphine - oo never again. I had just got to the tea and toast bit of surgery when my stomach decided to play up and ended up with head in toilet!

As for shoes, i believe i am now equalling Immelda Marcoss (oh i cant spell). Downside is now my other foot is heading off in its own direction so more surgery could be on the cards.

Hope everyone else is well/.

Well Liz, this darned RA gives a whole outlook on the old nursery rhyme 'This Little Piggy Goes To Market'! We are going to have to invent a new one.

hello liz, and welcome home!

Im sorry you have had to have a toe off, another Liz on here (Liz M) has had one or 2 removed I understand.

I dont know if you remember me but when you were on last, I was having a nightmare as no drugs worked or I couldnt tollerate them and the RA was in total meltdown. I started a new drug a few wks ago now (called Cimzia) and although somethings havent improved I FEEL SO WELL!

Isnt that great?!BigGrin

What meds are you on now Liz?

Bernice is now rising 3 as you can see from the avatar is growing up fast.

Love

Hi Liz

Good to see you here again. I'm pretty sure we met in a previous existence but I was "Forum Absent" for quite a long while so lost track a little along the way!

I'm sorry to hear of your recent problems but hope things continue to improve for you. Wearing fab shoes again must be a real bonus, must admit I'm quite envious although the loss of a toe isn't too appealing (got to admit getting shut of 'em all would be quite nice sometimes!).

look forward to chatting with you Smile
